What’s the difference between the ipad and the ipad 2?

My dad wants to get a ipad but we don’t exactly know the difference between them except the camera… which one should we get?

The iPad2 has the new A5 chip which is 2 times faster and has 9x the graphics speed then the A4 chip in the first gen iPad. It’s also thinner then the iPhone 4 if u know how thick that is. I have the first gen iPad and I don’t want to upgrade because I have the new iPod touch with the cameras. But if I didn’t have it I would choose the iPad2 over the iPad.
they are similar for me. but ipad 2 can transfer hd videos to hdtv for enjoying.

in functions, ipad 2 has more poweful functions, except camera, ipad 2 carry A5 processor, it can give you much faster speed, therefore, you can enjoy your iPad 2 more conveniently

iPad 2 has a moderately faster CPU plus dual core. You should see some apps run faster on it. Graphics are much better, so if your dad likes playing games, he’ll probably notice a difference. It’s thinner plus tapered so is more comfortable to hold (it’s lighter too, but not really that much). It also supports the new case which is nice.
Oh, and it can’t be jailbroken.
