SOPA will censor the web. If you post copy righted material you will be arrested and fined $40k and then maybe put in jail for up to 4 years. The website that has that copyrighted material will then be shut down or blocked. The websites are blacked out because they want to protest the bill and shut down their websites for today, part of #OpBlackout from anonymous and the rest of the hacker groups that work with them
I wonder how much money from the record labels is involve with the republican campaign to even consider such stupid bill
It basically means the government forces all ISP’s to use a filter on the entire internet.
If that happens, I swear millions will stop using the internet. Partly by force, and partly from anger.
